Back in my days, if someone for example bullied you, you can physically see that someone and know who that someone is which makes it easier to report to your trusted person and hopefully get some sort of resolution. Also, there is probably only one bully or maybe a few only.

Nowadays, as soon as you access the internet, there are an unknown number of these bullies and "cyber creeps," you have no clue who they really are which makes it hard to get any resolution.
