East Within West with Kim MacLaurin

On this episode of The Awakened Feminine podcast, I chat with Kim MacLaurin, the author of East Within West, a memoir about her adoption from an impoverished Taiwanese Family to being raised in a Canadian Family.

Kim is an Accountant who became a writer after lots of encouragement from various friends over the years to write her life story. Kim took writing classes at the University of Toronto to learn the basics of creative writing which she needed after a lifetime of working with numbers and three university degrees related to business.

She currently owns her own accounting practice but hopes to semi-retire in a few years to learn Chinese full time so that she can finally communicate with her birth family in Taiwan, where none of them speaks English.
